A drug sweep which took place earlier this week was the largest ever of its kind in Putnam county, said police officials. Code-named Operation Rock Star, the sweep targeted 91 individuals on 122 narcotics-related charged. The operation was the culmination of over a year of undercover investigation by 17 officers from six different agencies. The targeted suspects had, collectively 1,628 prior arrests, with one man racking up 100 priors by himself.
If convicted, the suspects face 15-30 years in state prison, according to State Attorney John Tanner.
