A police dog stopped two would-be burglars in the act of burglarizing a salvage yard.
The two suspects are currently behind bars and recovering from bite wounds to the face and arms. An employee of the salvage yard who was spending the evening at work heard the alarm go off and called the police.
When the police officer and his canine partner arrived, they tracked the suspects to their hiding spot underĀ a tarp. The dog dragged one suspect out from under the tarp while another surrendered. The dog then signalled that there was a third suspect under the tarp. The third refused to come out even after being warned multiple times that if he didn’t come out, the dog would go in.
The two injured suspects were taken to a hospital for treatment and then the Pinellas County Jail. All suspects were charged with burglary, grand theft, trespass, and possession of burglary tools.
